Let your shopping raise money for the church! Our next shopping card order will be placed in September 5, 2010 with delivery of the cards no later than September 12. Pick up your order form at the back of the church or access a form via the web at www.fundscrip.com. Cheques covering the total cost of your order should be made payable to Camlachie United Church. Order forms mailed to the church should be addressed to the Building Committee and will be processed on the order deadline date. Sunday School Brunch

The Sunday School will be hosting their Annual Brunch on September 12th right after service. Please join us for a bagel or muffin and enjoy some end of summer conversation.

The next Men’s Monthly Breakfast Group will take place on Saturday, September 18. Be sure to be at the church for an 8:00 breakfast. We are planning on doing outdoor work after breakfast.

Cents For The Sanctuary

The Building Committee has a fundraiser called “Cents for the Sanctuary”. This will be an ongoing project. Our next official penny drop will be in September 19. Keep saving those pennies – every one counts!

150th Anniversary Celebration!

While the previous Camlachie United web design provided pertinent information to both current and prospective congregation members, there was a strong desire for a more rich experience. With the latest launch there are a few major additions:

Calendar. The most requested feature was that of a calendar. With the new calendar, monthly events can be seen at a glance with the most immediate of events appearing on the front page.

Flickr support. Yes, the previous site did contain a photo album, but uploading images was tedious. Instead of using a private solution, the Camlachie United website now takes advantage of the largest photo sharing website on the Internet, Yahoo’s Flickr.

Designated group pages. Individual groups (choir, Sunday school, etc.) will now have the ability to provide information regarding their specific functions. These details will be provided under the Programs sub-menu.
